About Us
Rainy, the love of my life for 26 years, and I are blessed to live at 8,500 feet in elevation in beautiful Coal Creek Canyon, Colorado. This is where we raised our two boys into some amazing young men.
I made my first knife in 1995 and have loved it ever since. When I'm not making knives, I can be found tying flies or out fly fishing on one of our local Gold Medal streams. Knife making and fly fishing are both addictions that there is no cure for.
I use the stock removal method - meaning I start with a bar of steel; cut out the shape of the knife; profile it; and grind the bevels by hand - no jigs or mills are used. I enjoy both hollow grinding and flat grinding. I do my own heat treating, tempering and sheath making so I'm involved with every aspect from start to finish.
I create everything from small bird and trout knives to standard hunters and skinners. From big bowies, and camp knives to art pieces. I literally have customers around the world and I am pleased to know that my knives are being used whether it's just around the house or campsite or to skin out big game in Africa.
